For health and well-being...
- Medical coverage at Pfizer starts with an emphasis on preventive care, covering routine physicals and certain routine screenings at 100%. In addition, the medical options provide flexibility and choice, to let employees select the plan that's best for them:
- The Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans offered through the Pfizer Medical Plan provide the flexibility to choose between multiple options, each with different levels of costs and coverage. For any of these options, employees can choose Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield or UnitedHealthcare as the plan administrator and accompanying network.
- Managed care plans generally have lower costs but require those covered to stay within a selected network of providers. In addition to a National Managed Care Plan offered to all employees, different locations have local managed care plans (including HMOs).
- Healthy Pfizer, a personalized, easy-to-use health improvement program, provides employees and their covered dependents with tools, services and information designed to support healthy living.
- Medical and dental coverage under the Pfizer Pflex Plan extends to a qualified adult, which includes a spouse, same- or opposite-sex domestic partner or other qualified family member who meets eligibility requirements.
- Part-time employees working 60 percent or more of a standard workweek receive full benefits including family medical and dental coverage.
- One hundred percent reimbursement for the cost of all covered prescription drugs and up to two eligible smoking cessation programs.
- A choice of two levels of dental coverage, including preventive and orthodontia services.
- Vision care coverage for a range of services to meet employees' vision care needs.
- A health care account to help bridge the gap between health care expenses covered by insurance and eligible expenses that are paid out-of-pocket, by setting aside a certain amount of pretax dollars each year.
- A dependent care account to help cover eligible out-of-pocket expenses for child or elder care, by setting aside a certain amount of pretax dollars each year.
- Reimbursement for qualified adoption expenses up to $10,000 per child and a paid leave of absence.
- A family resource and referral program to help employees make decisions on issues such as relocation, child, elder and self care, plus educational resources and convenience services.
- A colleague assistance program that can help employees resolve personal, family and work issues impacting their lives.
- Short-term disability benefits for approved claims in the event of illness, injury, or pregnancy may provide continuation of pay and most benefits for up to 26 weeks.
- Access to quality child care, depending on the workplace location, through onsite backup, holiday, and full-time child care centers or subsidized discounts at centers across the United States.
- Newly hired employees can accrue up to 3 weeks of paid vacation during their first year of service.
- 13 paid holidays during the year that may include personal holidays that can be taken during the year to accommodate personal needs, plus unpaid parental, educational, civic, and general leaves of absence.
- Paid bereavement leave for up to five consecutive workdays in the event of the death of an immediate family member.

For financial peace of mind...
- A savings plan with a generous company match, a broad choice of investment options, and immediate vesting of both employee and company contributions. The savings plan also allows employees to take a loan, roll over eligible distributions from a former employer and make catch-up contributions for employees who are age 50 or older.
- A retirement plan providing vested employees with an additional source of income upon retirement. Benefits under the retirement plan can grow as earnings and years of service with Pfizer increase.
- Life insurance for employees in the event of death. A basic Company-provided level of life insurance coverage is provided. Employees can elect an additional amount of coverage for themselves as well as coverage for eligible dependents.
- Business travel accident insurance in the event of death or serious injury as a result of an accident while traveling on Pfizer business.
- Long-term disability insurance in the event of total and permanent disability preventing the ability to work. Employees can receive the basic Company-provided level of coverage or elect a different amount of coverage and either receive a credit or pay the difference in cost through payroll deductions.
- Optional insurance coverage that may offer important protection to help meet financial obligations:
- Accidental death and dismemberment insurance for employees and eligible dependents in the event of death or dismemberment due to an accident;
- Access to long-term care that may provide income in the event of a physical or mental disability preventing the performance of routine daily activities without assistance;
- Access to personal property insurance at special group rates for homes, automobiles, boats, rental property, co-ops, condominiums or recreational vehicles.
- Access to a financial planning program which offers the services of experienced, professional financial planners to help employees learn how to make informed decisions regarding money and investments.
- A group legal plan offering convenient, affordable access to certain fully covered legal services through a national network of law firms and attorneys. Participants are also reimbursed, based on a fee schedule, for covered services provided by an out-of-network attorney.
- A commuter benefit program, which allows employees to have money taken out of their pay, before their salary is taxed, to pay for eligible commuting and parking expenses. As a result, employees get a tax savings for the year, not to mention a convenient and flexible way to pay the costs of getting to work each day.
For educational needs...
- Up to one hundred percent tuition reimbursement for eligible degrees or courses with no maximum benefit amount to enhance the potential for growth at Pfizer.
- Opportunities for eligible children of employees to apply for four-year college scholarships.
- Employees and their family members are eligible to apply for education loans through the ConSern Educational Loan Program.
For the community...
- Grants for volunteer efforts and a dollar-for-dollar match on gifts to charitable organizations up to $15,000 per year.
- Discounts and free admission to cultural offerings such as museums and the performing arts.
- Jury and witness duty leave at full base pay and no deductions for juror payments or witness fees.
- Differential pay and no requirement to use vacation time for approved military leaves of absence.
For ongoing contributions to Pfizer...
- Recognition of years of service at Pfizer with a gift every five years, beginning with the fifth anniversary; performance-based incentive programs for eligible employees; and opportunities for employees to recognize each other's efforts through a peer-to-peer recognition program.
- In most cases, a $1,500 award for referring a candidate who is hired by Pfizer.
- A global job posting system to help employees develop and reach their career goals.
