Global Investigator-Initiated Research
The mission and purpose of the Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR) Program is to provide support for investigator-initiated research that advances medical and scientific knowledge about our products and that generates promising medical interventions. This global program is open to all researchers who are interested in conducting their own research.
Types of research considered for support include:
- Interventional clinical studies involving approved and unapproved Pfizer drug
- Non-interventional studies including, but not limited to, epidemiology and quality-of-life studies
- Research on disease states and diagnoses including development of diagnostic screening tools and surveys
- Preclinical studies (in vitro and in vivo)
The IIR Program provides support in the form of pure compound, formulated drug, funding or a combination of these, depending upon the type of research.
For more information download our IIR Program Brochure.
Please note that research requests that require pure compound only (no funding) may be directly submitted to Pfizer through the Global Compound Transfer Program.
