Programs and Actions:

  • Global Safety Networks: Collaborating with teams across Pfizer to develop and share best practices to improve safety performance.
  • Pfizer Occupational and Environmental Medicine Program: Preventing occupational injuries and illnesses and minimizing costs and loss of productivity related to occupational and environmental medical cases.
  • Efforts for Occupational Hygiene and Safe Handling of Chemicals in the Workplace: Applying scientific risk assessment technologies to minimize the potential EHS impact of our products and ensure the highest level of colleague safety at every stage of development from discovery and manufacture to use and disposal .
  • Pfizer EHS Guideline on Process Safety: Protecting colleagues and communities from the threat of accidents such as chemical release, fire, or explosion through analysis of process hazards and implementation of appropriate operational controls and procedures. Ensuring proper design, inspection and maintenance of equipment; adequate storage and handling of hazardous materials; knowledge of all processes and chemical reactions; and, comprehensive training, and emergency preparedness and response.
  • EHS Guideline on Incident Preparedness and Response: Ensuring that our research and development, manufacturing and logistics facilities worldwide are prepared to respond quickly and appropriately in case of emergency.
  • Efforts to Ensure Office Safety: Implementing worldwide standards and colleague training to raise awareness of and address the specific EHS issues relevant to office operations including fire life safety and ergonomics.
  • Enhancing the Safety of our Field Force, Motorists, and Pedestrians: Enhancing the motor safety skills and performance of our sales force by standardizing practices, increasing driver safety awareness, and conducting comprehensive driver training programs.
